“My favorite part of the SSM Career was meeting professionals in engineering fields and networking with recruiters.”
Abdullah Mahmood
"Research the company before talking to them, and take the extra step and try to find which recruiter will be there so you can get personal with them. Practice your elevator pitch in front of a mirror if you are a first timer. "

This career fair has shown me just how much heart and commitment goes into this event, brought by three organizations on campus, SHE, SWE and MEET. I’ve witnessed the planning, and the teamwork behind the scenes, and it’s all driven by one goal, creating the best opportunities for our peers, friends, and the entire SOE community
For me, this event represents what community is all about: lifting each other up, opening doors, and creating a space where students can truly shine and explore their future.
"Attending the SHE-SWE-MEET career fair gave me the chance to connect directly with several companies. Just a week later, I was thrilled to receive an internship offer from one of the teams I met at the event. It was so rewarding to see firsthand that this fair brings in employers who are genuinely excited to meet and hire Rutgers students!"

"Go to as many booths as possible, even if it’s a company you might not be 100% interested in . Apply for positions ahead of time and mention to the recruiter which jobs you’ve applied for. Don’t start the conversation by just spitting out your elevator pitch."
Maria Galkin
"Keep calm and never be afraid to walk randomly. It’s okay to not always have a plan. Never be afraid to ask other people for help."
"The SHE-SWE-MEET Career fair helped me increase my confidence in talking to recruiters and expand my network. It was an incredible opportunity as a freshman which I will carry throughout my future experiences."

"a recruiter asked about the critical path method and other project management techniques that I have just learned in one of my courses. I was unprepared to go into detail... but it has helped me to be extra prepared for future career fairs."
